The 69 Hour Film Challenge is a filmmaking competition where self-organized teams of filmmakers, actors and crew make short funny films about sex in 69 hours or less.

Teams must provide their own cast, crew and equipment.

At the start of the challenge teams will receive a package containing secret film making instructions. They will then have only 69 hours to complete their film. The best films will screen at The Festival and be eligible for the 69 Hour Film Award and a $500 prize.

Here's how it works...

Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at 6pm we give out the secret package to film makers. They can pick it up in person at Laide ( 138 Adelaide Street East ) or on our website. The package contains a list of 10 items and a CD. The film makers then have 69 hours to create a film using at least 3 items from the list.

Flims must be recieved at Hard Liquor and Porn Headquarters in person or over the internet by 3pm Saturday August 23. All finished films will be screened that evening at Margret 2952 Dundas St. W (in the Junction).

Teams are responsible to provide their own equipment and people. Don't worry, it doesn't have to be fancy. You could make a film on a mobile phone of you want.
